Endodontic Training and Credentials

To begin with, Dr. Janse is a specialist, which requires considerable advanced training after receiving his general dentistry degree. After receiving his DDS degree from the University of Texas Dental School in Houston, he went on the complete a master’s in endodontics.

But there is more. As a member of the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Endodontics (ABE), Dr. Janse has achieved board certification, the most recognized advanced endodontics credential. About one-fifth of practicing endodontists are board-certified. To attain board certification, Dr. Janse passed a rigorous review process conducted by other ABE Diplomates, who scrutinized his work. He also passed written and oral exams.

He is also a clinical associate professor in the Department of Endodontics at The University of Texas Dental School in San Antonio and, due to the respect he has among other endodontists, he serves on the Scientific Advisory Committee for the Journal of Endodontics.
